Skin care products based on natural components enjoy great popularity. Hydrosols are among them, complementing our daily care or replacing some products. What benefits can you expect and how many floral waters do you know? Let’s find out!
What are hydrosols?
Hydrosols are also known as floral waters. They are produced during extraction of essential oils – by-products of distillation process. Particles which aren’t water-soluble make up an oil whereas water that’s left with plant-derived ingredients is a hydrosol.
A hydrosol can also be called a plant essence yet it’s more watery and has a subtler aroma. Apply it to skin like a face mist, toner or add it to other products. The cosmetic offer abounds in hydrosols that must be customized to needs of your skin.
