I know that you love this type of posts so today I’m providing you with an important and – let’s call it – quality content. I’m going to give you an insight into some really basic stuff concerning skincare and a few other pieces of information that will surely leave you surprised. Indeed, skincare is a very broad subject so it’s pretty troublesome to fish the info and tips that we should follow in order to enjoy stunning skin. Therefore, below you will find the essence of conscious skincare. Read on!

5 rules of flawless skin

1. How to take care of face skin? Makeup removal

You should treat makeup removal as a mandatory requirement that you have to comply to without asking questions. Make sure that you go to bed with perfectly clean face. When you fall asleep with a foundation and other color cosmetics on, you make:

  • skin suffocate
  • it difficult for skin to regenerate
  • skin age faster
  • it hard for skin to function properly

Do you really want all of that? Wouldn’t it be better to reach for a cotton pad and remove not only makeup but toxins, smog and dirt as well? And obviously buy the cosmetics that aren’t hard to remove from face, which are all waterproof formulas. Actually, I could recommend you Lashcode mascara that creates outstanding effects, nourishes lashes, is long-wearing and at the same time easy to remove. Using such products lowers the possibilities of causing damage to your lashes and skin.

2. How to take care of face skin? Cleansing

You can’t put an equal sign between makeup removal and face cleansing 🙂 Well, of course, freeing your face from color cosmetics is a part of face cleansing but what about sebaceous glands outlets and epidermis that exfoliates all the time? If you want to keep skin in a good condition, you have to cleanse it deeply due to a decent face scrub. Basically, you can use a regular face scrub or more gentle one that doesn’t require rubbing (i.e. enzymatic peel).

One of the best face scrubs known to me is this iconic product launched by The Ordinary, AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. To me, it’s an absolute mastery in the field of face scrubs! This is a chemical peel that combines α-hydroxy acids (glycolic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid) and β-hydroxy acids (salicylic acid). Thanks to such a combo, you can reduce many skin blemishes without putting much effort into it.

3. How to take care of face skin? Keep your hands off the face

Did you know that over 50% of skin imperfections that appear on your face are caused by you touching the skin? How many times a day do you prop your head up with a hand? Just try to count how many times you touch the face during a day. It’s also worth realizing that a phone that you press to your face while talking on it also affects the skin negatively. Yes, the screen houses an army of bacteria that know how to ruin your face. Therefore, if you can spot some acne appearing on your cheek, think if it isn’t connected with using your smartphone.

4. How to take care of face skin? Serum

Face serum is a real germ in your skin care routine. You must choose it wisely because this concentrated skincare product is the lion’s share of nourishing and skin regeneration. In other words, face serum is responsible for taking care of the skin because it’s able to penetrate skin deeply where it starts its mission – skin revival. How to choose the right face serum? Surely, you should make use of the one containing vitamin C. Apart from using a matching face serum, you can also enrich your nighttime skincare with a beauty oil that contains vitamins, flavonoids and omega fatty acids. I personally use Jojoba and Argan Oil by Nanoil. These are certified, cold-pressed and unrefined oils. Their quality is high and they are 100% effective.

5. How to take care of face skin? Hydration and moisturising

High skin moisture levels make one of the most essential parts of conscious skincare. We all know that there would be no life without water. When not hydrated, our skin dies too, which means that it ages inevitably. To put it differently, the more hydration your skin receives, the longer it preserves its youthfulness, suppleness and ‘high quality.’ I’m sure that everyone knows how good hyaluronic acid is but please bear in mind that using one acid is not enough to attract and bond water molecules – well, skin must have the source where it can take the water from, right? I hope I managed to make it clear to you now – drink plenty of fresh mineral water, seriously, just do it. Try to drink at least 2 liters a day, but of course if you managed to drink more than it would be wonderful! Last but not least, coffee doesn’t count.

These are 5 rules of flawless skin – the absolute basics. I know that my pieces of advice may sound obvious but I’m sure that not everyone pays attention to follow them on a daily basis. Would you like to add something more? Is there anything else I should have included? Please leave a comment.
