Too bad not all of us know how to correctly apply make-up to look natural, pretty and trendy. We tend to apply too much foundation, overpluck the brows, overuse brow fillers… You probably know the effect. These beauty and make-up sins must be avoided like the plague. Would you like to know my list of top beauty mistakes? Read on 🙂
Make-up at the gym
Exercising with make-up on is a real crime against the skin. Cosmetics clog skin pores so the skin can’t breathe freely, neither is it able to get rid of impurities or sweat. Try to picture that: imagine you have your nose and lips plucked and can’t breathe, you suffer and suffocate. The skin goes through the same thing at the gym if you wear make-up. What are the results? Acne breakouts, blackheads, irritations, sebum glands going crazy.
False-lash overuse
I understand putting nice strip or cluster lashes for one night but I will never get it why some girls go all day and all night wearing fake lashes which, to make things worse, aren’t tailored to their natural lash line. What’s the point of attaching a few different types of falsies? It significantly overloads both eyelids and natural lashes and might trigger eye irritations.
Stage make-up on a daily basis?
As the name suggests this kind of look is good for drama and theatre, cameras, dance shows, movie sets. It doesn’t make a good pick for a daily look, work, college or even a date. Stage make-up is rich, shimmery, overdone in a controlled way.
Barely-there brows
Recently, natural, a bit bushy yet shaped and tamed brows are in so girls with skinny brows, tattooed semi-permanent lines or brows they draw every day in front of the mirror have a hard time. Believe me, overtweezed or fake permanent brows look neither natural nor pretty or trendy. They don’t make a good match with anything, let alone your face shape which should go with the brow shape the most.
Getting carried away with plastic surgeries
Generally, I don’t mind plastic surgeries or procedures connected with esthetic medicine if two conditions are met: the procedure gives a natural effect and is done due to a serious defect or very bad condition of the skin. In other cases, I believe going too far with surgeries and going to extremes make no sense and give an awful effect.
